There is nothing better than listening to your own EDM production and not only being proud of your melodies, structure, beats & build-ups but also being proud of the sound quality you have achieved.
At least for me it gives me some kind of satisfaction. I feel that a track without the right sound is a bit of a waste of time & energy. No DJ would play it, neither in their radioshow or at an event. And no record label would sign it.
The best melody is nothing if it doesn't come through. The coolest beat is nothing if it just sounds muddy on a club PA. And the greatest sounds are nothing if you don't hear them because your mixdown is completely mushy.
Solving these issues yourself can be a pain in the ass, especially if you follow all the advices you have already received and nothing seems to work.
You might have even given up on achieving the right sound yourself already and given your tracks to mixing engineers to finalise them.
But where to start?
How do you know what is right and what is wrong when it comes to achieving the 'PRO'-sound?
Of course, you can watch tons of YouTube videos and try to figure it out yourself somehow but are you sure you will learn the right things that will help you getting to that level you want to be?
Are those people really experienced and have they really listened to their productions on big PA's in clubs and at festivals? Do they really know what they are talking about? Some will certainly do, others won't, that's for sure.
Well, I certainly do know what I'm talking about. I have played on mainstages at festivals such as Nature One, ASOT, Mayday and in clubs such as Ministry Of Sound (The Box), Exchange Los Angeles, Space Club Miami and many more! My productions get regular spins in radioshows such as ASOT, GDJB, Corsten's Countdown, ABGT and many more as well.
I am super excited to teach you about my secret techniques in my 1-Day Seminar on how to get the 'PRO'-sound!
Find out about my techniques that I have devloped over the years so that your mix stands out from the rest and gets the crystal clear sound like the pros!
Learn how to choose the right sounds and/or creating your own sounds so that they do not interfere with each other and the mix gets cleaner.
Sample choice is as important as all the other parts of getting a 'PRO'-sound! Let me show how I know which samples are the right ones to choose and why this will make your production sound much more professional.
I will give first-hand practical feedback on your tracks. It will help you taking what you have learnt and improve your own productions immediately!
Are you wondering about other things that I haven't covered during my lessons? Would you like to connect with other participants? As I am full grown artist that is earning a fulltime income with music production, I can answer all aspects of the Electronic Dance Music production and business.
My name is Dennis Sheperd and I'm an international DJ and music producer with over 10 years of experience!
I have produced several hit-records such as "Dennis Sheperd & Cold Blue feat. Ana Criado - Fallen Angel (Dennis Sheperd Club Mix)" or "Atrocite feat. Mque - Only You", that have been played all around the world.
Also, I have played in all 5 continents and I have worked with brands such as Insomniac, Ministry Of Sound, ID&T, A State Of Trance, Mayday, Nature One and more, so I know exactly what it takes to produce records that will keep the crowd moving.
Dennis Sheperd is an absolutely fantastic producer! I had the opportunity of working with him and I learned a lot, got inspired for my future tracks and I am grateful for that!.
Very professional and knowledgeable. Dennis is a strong communicator and I would recommend him for anyone looking for some assistance.
By far the best money I have ever spent!! Thanks so much Dennis. I have never been able to find anyone who can provide feedback like this.
When does the seminar start and end?
The seminar starts at 10 AM on 14th of October 2017 and ends at 6 PM on 14th of October 2017.
Where will the seminar be held?
The seminar will be held at Fuseroom studio in Berlin (Wilhelminenhofstraße 83-85, 12459 Berlin, Germany).
Is this seminar DAW specific?
No, my techniques work in every sequencer and DAW you can imagine!
Are there any additional costs?
No, there aren't. There will also be catering during our lunch break. Vegetarian options are no problem at all.
Is there a hotel close to the studio that you can recommend?
Yes, the NH Hotel Treptow is very close to the studio. If you are only coming for the seminar, this will be your best option. However it is a bit out of the city, so if you are planning on doing sightseeing or want to go out clubbing, I recommend finding another place more central.
I can't come to Berlin but I am interested in streaming this! Will you offer a stream?
I haven't fully decided on that yet. Please get in touch with me and let me know about your interet. Depending on how many requests I get, I will consider offering a stream as well!
What is the exact schedule?
The schedule will be worked out after getting to know all of you participants and all of your specific needs. We might extend the demo listening part, shorten the sound-design part, or whatever will suit you and the other participants best!
I have just started producing music. Is this course for me?
I recommend investing more time into music production before you attend a seminar like this. This is really for people who want push their production skills to the next level, respectively starting to sign their records to record labels!
